Book Drive

Book Drive

A library without books is not much of a library and communities are in need of books. This is especially true in light of the fact that many rural communities are without internet or mobile communications.

Building Libraries

Building Libraries

Building Libraries in communities across Melanesia to boost access to information, especially in light of the fact that many communities still do not have access to the internet.

Girls Scholarships

Girls Scholarships

Across Melanesia and especially in the Solomon Islands girls are passed over for their education and the main reason is money. Parents cannot afford to pay for schools fees and it stops girls from gaining an education.

Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education

Preschool education has shown to be such a powerful factor for success in school that most developed nations have high rates of participation. Given this fact Melanesian Women Today aims to plant preschools across communities in Melanesia.

STEM Volunteers

STEM Volunteers

Melanesian Women Today

is based on the unceded, traditional territory of the xʷsəq̓ʷəb (Suquamish) people. We know that decolonization is more than just a land acknowledgment, and strive to embody this practice in all of the work that we do.
